Argan Oil

The Berbers traditionally used Argan Oil as a beauty ointment.  Attained from the fruit of the Argan tree, Argan Spinosa, the Berber tribes applied Argan Oil on their skin and hair to protect against the tough and dry desert conditions.  Detailed research shows the strength of Pure Argan Oil and the nutrients it comprises to help protect and nourish human skin and hair. Such is the reason that Argan Oil has adopted the name 'Liquid Gold'.

Argan Oil is produced from the kernels found inside the Argan nut, which is embedded in the fruit of the UNESCO protected Argan tree that grows almost exclusively in South-Western Morocco.  It takes around 16 hours of manual labour and 35kg of fruit to produce 1 litre of Pure Argan Oil.  This laborious task involves adept dexterity for when handling the kernels.  The Argan fruits ripen and fall from the tree during the summer.  Once dried, the outer shell is cracked-open and removed.  Then, involving traditional techniques of artisanal strokes, the seeds are exerted from the firm inner-shell.  Finally, the Spinosa seeds are cold pressed to extract the rich nutty oil, Argan.
